While Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child
Our Goodwill Ambassador Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ Invites Us All to Sing the “IMAGINE”
The world celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the child adopted by the UN General Assembly on 20 November 1989 with the initiative “Imagine.” Children and adults from all parts of the world can take part in this initiative by voicing and sharing in social media the song “Imagine” by John Lennon and Yoko Ona. Together with the song, personal messages on what can be imagined for a better world can be loaded to twitter, Facebook and YouTube with the caption ‘I Imagine’ (Hayal Ediyorum). The target is to have a million voices singing “Imagine” altogether.
Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ’s Call
Our Goodwill Ambassador Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ the lead figure of the IMAGINE initiative says: “It is possible to offer a much better world to each child and join us, join UNICEF to make this a reality. Just imagine what we all can do together. Download it, sing your version of IMAGINE and upload. Don’t forget: each upload means a contribution to children no matter how modest it could be”.
Be a star of the IMAGINE initiative!
Through a free application specially developed by the interactive platform TouchCast anybody can sing and upload his/her own version of IMAGINE. The voice of children getting stronger upon each new recording is transformed into a changing music clip in TouchCast. We hope you will be joining both Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ and other UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors from Turkey and other countries and keeping in solidarity with children. Each uploading means a contribution of 1 dollar to children. http://imagine.unicef.org
Let’s not forget, “every child counts” and “every voice counts”
Please use the hashtag #everyvoicecounts in your remarks in the social media during coming days.
